Fifty children from Jerusalem, aged between 11 and 14, participated in an interactive workshop focused on mechanisms for protection against the dangers of social media and the internet. This workshop was organized by the Bayt Mal Al Quds Asharif Agency on Saturday in the city of Tangier.
During this initiative, dedicated to Jerusalemite children participating in the 15th edition of the summer camp, the youngsters engaged with experts from the Digital Development Agency who facilitated the workshop.
This workshop, which was one of the activities of the summer camp named “Yaqub Al-Mansur Al-Muwahidi” in honor of the Almohad king who supported Salahuddin in the conquest of Acre and Jerusalem in the 12th century, featured a theoretical session on the dangers of excessive use of social media and the internet. It also included interactive exercises using applications provided by the Digital Development Agency on a dedicated website for parents, teachers, and interested parties.
The camp, which will continue until August 25th, includes educational trips to cities such as Casablanca, Rabat, Tangier, Tetouan, and Chefchaouen, as well as competitions, entertainment, recreation, and meet-and-greet sessions with Moroccan children in their camps at the Diplomatic Forest in Tangier.
This year’s summer school program aims to focus on play and entertainment, alongside psychological support activities and awareness of dangers through simulated first aid exercises and rescue operations, all guided by professional trainers.
