Driouech strengthens the ranks of PSV Eindhoven.

PSV Eindhoven, the Dutch football club, finalized the signing of Moroccan international Souhaib Drioch from Excelsior on Sunday during the current summer transfer window. This move blocked several other European clubs that were also keen on acquiring him.

PSV officially announced their acquisition of the Olympic Moroccan national team player with a contract extending until the summer of 2029. Drioch was introduced to the media as the team’s new player on Sunday evening.

Hesport had previously reported on PSV’s interest in Drioch weeks ago. In a prior statement to the newspaper, Drioch expressed his desire to further develop his talent and secure his place in the senior Moroccan national team in the future.

Moroccan international Souhaib Drioch added, “I work hard, both with the club and with the Olympic team. I strive to be better every day. Football teaches you many things; it’s a way of life, not just about playing on the field.”

He concluded, “National football is developing significantly, and I am proud to play for the national team. It is both an honor and a responsibility, and I must always perform at my best.”

Drioch participated in 26 matches in the Dutch league last season, scoring six goals and providing six assists. His contract with Excelsior was set to run until the summer of 2025.

It’s worth noting that Souhaib Drioch, who is 22 years old, has played nine matches with the Moroccan Olympic team. However, national coach Tarik Sektioui did not call him up for the “Paris 2024” Olympic Games.
