Warning of an Upcoming Heatwave in Morocco

The General Directorate of Meteorology expects a heatwave with temperatures ranging amongst 39 and 47 levels Celsius, beginning from the next day, Tuesday, till Friday, in severa regions of the dominion.

In an orange-diploma alert bulletin, the Directorate stated that a heatwave is predicted the next day, Tuesday, with temperatures beginning from 41 to forty five stages Celsius within the provinces of Figuig, Jerada, Zagora, Tinghir, Errachidia, and Tata.

The bulletin furthermore noted that temperatures starting from 39 to 42 levels Celsius can be recorded from Wednesday to Thursday within the prefectures and provinces of Ouezzane, Guercif, Taourirt, Oujda-Angad, Jerada, Figuig, Boulemane, Sefrou, Moulay Yacoub, Taounate, Taza, Fez, Khouribga, Settat, Chichaoua, Youssoufia, and Ouarzazate.

The Directorate introduced that the provinces of Fquih Ben Salah, Beni Mellal, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Marrakech, Rehamna, Khenifra, Zagora, Tinghir, Errachidia, Taroudant, Tata, Assa-Zag, Smara, and Oussard will experience a heatwave with temperatures ranging among forty two and 47 tiers Celsius from Wednesday to Friday.
